Our team took on an outdated kitchen with dark cherry cabinets and a poor layout. We oversaw the entire project which included gutting the space and redesigning it to reflect our client’s love of light. The new layout added an island that provides storage, houses a drawer microwave, and conceals the trash and recycling containers. The contrasting lighter cabinets on the perimeter of the kitchen feature a chocolate glaze and fly-specking to add dimension and show off the beauty of the wood. Seeded glass was chosen for the butler’s pantry cabinet fronts to showcase the homeowner’s collection of decorative barware. Extra lighting under the cabinets as well as pendants over the island were added to make the kitchen a gathering place for the whole family to enjoy.
